About 2018 AIDS Walk Austin

In its 31st year, AIDS Walk Austin returns to Republic Square on November 3, 2018. Benefiting ten sharing agencies including AIDS Services of Austin, this event brings together people (and pets) from all walks of life!

AIDS Walk Austin attracts 1,000+ people annually for an afternoon of celebration and remembrance of those affected by HIV. Begin the day with a festival in the park featuring live music, food trucks, vendors, and activities, and then walk the 2.5 mile route that uses the Capitol as a round-about.

The importance of this event is immeasurable. Every step that is taken decreases stigma and creates a step up for a person in need. Do something good for your sole and walk to build healthier futures for Central Texans.

Eastside Yoga

Launched in the fall of 2009, Eastside Yoga’s center was built and infused with love by husband and wife team, Steven and Elsa. Steven’s passion for yoga, meditation and spirituality was combined with experience in his family’s small business in Scotland. For years he dealt with stress in the corporate world, so he started a yoga and meditation practice to cope. Now he and his wife have a beautiful yoga studio in Austin that believes in giving back and supporting the community.

Eastside Yoga will be leading a 30 minute yoga stretch at 12:00 pm. The goal is to align your "sole" before stepping off to make a difference. The session will be led by the wonderful Eastside Yoga instructor, Lauren Katz. Find out more about the studio by visiting their site! We hope to see you in the park.

*Blankets and mats are welcome or you can choose to get cozy with mother nature in the grass.
